More classes, a workshop, and a reception!

...been too long since I last updated things.....am back on track now, with a busy upcoming winter and spring schedule.

Just announced: A one-day intensive workshop at The Art School in Sandy Springs,  being held on Saturday March 1st. Details can be found by clicking the school reference on the sidebar.  This is for Landscapes in Oils.  Levels from early intermediate to advanced.  Sign up early to hold a place. Should be a great time! This will be at our new location.....and, by the way....

Youre invited to the Grand Opening of the new location for The Art School in Sandy Springs, on the evening of February 21st, from 5pm-8pm.!!  There will be teacher demonstrations, snacks and drinks, and an all around good time. A great occasion for you to check out the new larger facility and get some info on the classes. I plan to be demonstrating that evening....hope to see you there! Even if youve taken classes in the past, it will be a fun time to see you again, and give you a chance to check things out.  Its not far from the current place....just a few blocks up Roswell Road, outside the perimter fwy, and just a quick turn onto Sandy Springs Circle from Roswell Rd.

The new location:  330 Sandy Springs Circle, Atlanta, GA 30328
(no change to the contact, email, web info)

My begnning oil painting class at The Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art starts this coming Tuesday, February 4th (5:30PM-8:30PM).  Class is getting near full, but still a few spots left. Details also available via the sidebar link.
Then in March, my regular Sandy Springs class starts again on Monday, March 3rd, (at the new location), and my regular Marietta Cobb Museum class starts again on Tuesday night,  March 18th.  Both of these are early intermediate-advanced level. Both, again, are for Landscapes in oil. Please feel free to contact me if any questions regarding these opportunities.

...looking forward to April,  as I will be on my way to the Southeastern Plein Air Festival in Alabama and then the WinterPark/Florida Plein Air Festival, with other festivals planned in May, June, and July. Cant wait for the fun to begin.

Above is a  tonal painting of a  farm area near where I live.  Below that a piece from my recent trip to Santa Barbara, this past December.  A familliar scene at nearby Goleta Beach, I always enjoy painting this particular view. Stay tuned....I will be loading a few more images from that painting trip shortly.

Best wishes!
